An Italian guy fled from his wife and took with him his mistress and 55.000 Euros of his family’s savings. He seemed to have disappeared without a trace. But not for long.

One day, the 45-year-old Martino Garibaldi reportedly decided to close his shop and disappear together with his lover. But first he trashed his family’s bank account. Ofcourse this left Mrs. Garibaldo a very angry woman.

Mrs. Garibaldi hired a small army of detectives to track down her cheating husband. The detectives’ efforts were fruitless. But recently a movie-loving friend of the family couldn’t believe his eyes. While watching the movie ” Christmas on a Cruise ” he saw Martino and his lover walking cheerfully across the background of a movie scene.

Now Garibaldi’s wife knew where here cheating husband was hanging out. The movie had been shot in the Dominican Republic. Short time ago Mrs. Garibaldi started a legal procedure to get her stolen money back. It is not known whether she wants her husband back too.

The number of deadly shark attacks in 2007 has declined to only one case. A French woman swimming alone in New Caledonia was the unfortunate victim.  This number is the lowest in at least twenty years.

According to researchers from the University of Florida the low number of shark attacks. which result in fatalities, is caused by ever improving medical treatment. Though this has caused the  number of nonfatal shark attacks to increase. Around 71 nonfatal shark attacks have been reported through 2007.

During the 90’s, each year around 50 cases were reported. From 2000 until now this amount has steadily increased to an average of 65 every year.

The researchers of the International Shark Attack File see parallels between tourist behavior and increasing shark attacks. Each year more people spend time at beaches, swimming and surfing. Out of all shark attacks victims, 65% are surfers and windsurfers.

             Back in the days, when sharks weren’t pussies yet 

A worker from Stoke, England, was wrongfully arrested by police after they had mistaken his Ipod for a revolver. The 28-year old Darren Nixon was chased down by the cops, while riding the bus from work to his home. Three squad cars were involved.  

The cops  managed to stop Darren close to his home, where they ordered to stick his hands up in the air and pointed their weapons at him. Earlier someone had alarmed the police after seeing Darren trifling his mp3 player. Somehow it had looked like the guy was loading a revolver, while all he was doing is changing the song on his Ipod.

” I did not know what was going on until I removed my ear pieces. One can only imagine what would have happened if I had reached for my Ipod when they charged me “, Darren Nixon later said.

After being handcuffed Darren was taken to the police station. Luckily for him he was allowed to return home after they had taken his fingerprints.
