Latvians mourn death of presidential rabbit Lisis
The rabbit of Latvian president Valdis Zatlers is dead. Lisis, as the bunny was called, was a famous celebrity in Latvia. Lisis came to fame after president Zatler had told the press that he viewed his rabbit a full member of the presidential family.
It is speculated that Lisis was suffering from depressions after the family moved to the presidential palace last year. He longed back to his old home.
Although the Zatlers allowed Lisis to roam free around the palace, the little animal saw his new home as a golden cage.
The First Rabbit was never really able to cope with his celebrity status.
It is lonely at the top, Lisis
