Super Skyscraper (1.6km high) announced
A company named Hyder Consulting is announcing it will build a skyscraper that will be twice as high as the record holding Burj Dubai Tower. The Burj Dubai is currently under construction in Dubai. Construction will be complete in 2008. When finished it will be a whopping 818 meters high.
The new skyscraper will be erected somewhere in the Middle East. Another company, the Kingdom Holding Company also announced it’s plans to build a mega skyscraper. That tower will be named ” Mile High Tower “.
These two new mega-structures will compete for the record of highest building. The Mile High Tower will be at least 1600 meters high.
The Burj Dubai will be the highest building until those new towers have been built. Although construction on the Burj Dubai is not finished yet, it is already the highest building. At the moment is measures 158 stories high ( 598,5 meters). That is 90 meters higher then the Taipei tower in Taiwan and 40 meters higher then the CN Tower in Toronto.

Building to such a height is not a problem with enough money and our technology. But how do you make accessing all the floors easy and convienient. I am aware of Otis Odissy system but so far it is not in use in any new biulding. I am not sure it would solve the problem.

It won’t help. Its just competition. So Many workers have to sacrifice and they seem confident. U know, this is lunatic. This idiotic plan won’t even help. It’ll just cause environmental troubles. WTF! Just make more towers like the one in Taipei. We don’t need a damn tall tower just to stay cool. I’d like to give that Hyder Consulting company or whatever a BIG MIDDLE FINGER DAMN IT!!!!!!!
