Japanese bake world’s biggest rice cake
A team of Japanese cooks has produces the world’s biggest rice cake. The rice cake has a whopping diameter of 150cm !
The cake has been made out of rice flour. Rice cakes are a very popular snack in among the Japanese. It took the team over an hour to prepare the cake while using over 15kg of flour.
Michihiro Yamaguchi (63), member of the Japanese Rice Cake Committee told the press he and his friends are insanely proud of their achievement.
This rice cake is now the word record holder. An attempt to bake the largest rice cake failed last month. That cake’s diameter fell only 3cm short of being a record.
After the cake was baked it was measured, making the record official. Then the team proceeded to break it in pieces and treated the audience to a snack. Most of the witnesses prefered their piece with some soy sauce.
