japan flag A Japanese man started having severe pains in his stomach after he had eaten a hamburger. When he looked in the hamburger’s bag, he found a centimeter long fish hook in it. Japanese police announced this last Sunday.

The guy was rushed to a hospital and after some tests the doctors found a second fish hook in the man’s small intestine.

He has decided to file a formal complaint against the evening store where his mother bought the hamburger. The evening store chain has immediately stopped selling these hamburgers. They also started an investigation into the issue.

This case is just one of many food scandals happening in Japan lately. Just recently hundreds of Japanese fell ill after they had eaten imported noodles from China. It is suspected these needles had pesticides in them.

Hitler’s Disney cartoons found

February 25, 2008 By: Bolkie Category: entertainment, funny, odd, weird

Hitler was a busy man. But it was never known that the psycho was in fact also a cartoonist.

The tyrant and mass murderer Adolf Hitler has painted Pinocchio and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. At least according to William Hakvaag, conservator of a small Norwegian war museum. The museum is now showing the so called ‘Hitler Paintings’.

According to Hakvaag, four pieces of paper were found behind a water painting of an Alps landscape. They were signed ‘A. Hitler 40′. Hakvaag bought the water painting last year via the Internet from a German man. He paid 200 euros for them.

Hakvaag is assuming Hitler made the three paintings of Snow White and the Pinocchio to impress his girlfriend Eva Braun. They seem to be exact copies of the paintings by American animator Walt Disney.

Starting in March, police dogs in the German city of Dusseldorf will be issued special patrol boots. The boots are intended to protect their paws during patrols. It is not unusual that their paws  get hurt by stepping into broken glass.

“Little accidents like this happen a lot, especially during large events,” a Dusseldorf police spokesman told the German press.

The police found appropriate dog shoes in the United States. The boots will be of light blue color and will be tested during the coming weeks.

How a little mouse grounds a big airliner

February 25, 2008 By: Bolkie Category: animals, emergency, funny, odd, weird

A pet mouse grounded a plane in China after it escaped from a passenger’s pocket.

The mouse was taken on board by a female passenger, Liu Yulian, who hid it in her coat pocket and smuggled it past airport security.

“I went to sleep, and after I woke up, I found the mouse had gone missing. So I contacted the crew to see if they could help,” says Liu.

The crew kept the information secret to avoid alarming other passengers but landed at Xiaoshan International Airport, reports the Today Morning Press.

“Upon landing, we quarantined the airplane, and searched it intensively five times, with no result,” says the airport spokesman.

After two and a half hours, the airport lifted the quarantine and allowed the plane to fly on to its final destination, Shenzhen.

A spokesman for airline, China Southern, says it acted in passengers’ interest: “We couldn’t continue to fly without getting rid of the potential danger.”

Passengers were unhappy and some are threatening to sue the airline for causing the delay by failing to stop the mouse from being brought on to the plane.

“We had to wait there a long time without getting out because of a security mistake,” one passenger said.

The plane took off from Dalian Airport where officials have promised to tighten procedures.
